Peavey Wolfgang Standard Hardtail, made in U.S.A.
These guitars truly are works of art, and this one is a sublime example. Played very little over its lifetime, this instrument is in very nearly Mint Condition. Many showroom guitars have more signs of wear than this one.
In cleaning this guitar up for sale, I have refrained from oiling the neck (which I would do if I were keeping it) just so that the purchaser can use his or her own favorite product to do so. No Lemon Pledge or detergents have ever been used in the cleaning and prep of this guitar. The photos show the natural, factory-original lustre, as brought forth by a microfiber cloth. New strings, and it's like new again, as you can see.
The photos reveal some fine dust on the headstock, thus I have learned to be even more fastidious during a photo session than I ever thought necessary. That dust blows off with a breath—it's not a permanent feature.
A little research tells me that this guitar originally shipped in 1999, but I am not absolutely certain of that. It's a fairly low serial number, and it has the patent number listed. Someone said that the '98 models said "patent pending," but I'm not sure if any of the patent numbered ones shipped that year.
This guitar has absolutely no modifications that I know of (I bought it used in about 2004). A great addition to your collection of pristine era-specific instruments.
